We are a non-smoking bed and breakfast on the edge of the small seaside town of Barmouth, in the old county area of Meirionethshire in Gwynedd, North Wales.
Barmouth is situated on the west coast of Wales
overlooking Cardigan Bay, at the mouth of the Mawddach estuary, one of the most beautiful estuaries in the world. Dros Y Dwr looks out over this estuary to the mountain ridge of Cader Idris and also has a view of the sea.
Surrounded by fantastic mountain scenery, on the
edge of Snowdonia National Park, this is a wonderful area for mountain walks. In addition Barmouth has a fishing and yachting harbour, a large blue flag sandy beach and is a popular holiday resort.
Our accommodation is situated opposite a small beach and the footpath entrance to Barmouth bridge, just 3 minutes walk from the harbour, and a further minute to the main beach and shopping area.
