Zauchensee Ski Review
Description Zauchensee is a fantastic, but relatively unknown ski resort about 60 kilometres from Salzburg and is a perfect destination for a cheap ski weekend break from the UK.
Despite this you’re unlikely to find many Brits there – a welcome change from many of the bigger European resorts such as Mayrhofen in Austria or Chamonix in France for example.
There are 65 kilometers worth of slopes to explore, with a further 255 km within the Salzburg Sports World ski area. It’s quite possible to spend a week here and go to a different ski area each day and still leave a lot of ground uncovered.
Its relative obscurity and relaxed atmosphere means stress free days on the slopes with no queuing for the lifts.

What’s more there are guides to help you find good deals on flights, car hire and accommodation to help your Euro, dollar, pound or Yen stretch a little further so you can afford more time on the piste.
