This is Grizedale Forest - Lakeland's largest forest area, famous for its forest sculptures and more recently for the amazing 'Go Ape' adventure facility. The breathtaking scenery of Esthwaite Water, Windermere and Coniston Water are all less than 20 minutes drive away. The home of Beatrix Potter is lees than 15 minutes drive. Another 20 minutes brings you to Grasmere - very touristy - but nice to visit...and come away from! Away from the crowds back to the idyllic sanctuary that is Dale Park...peace, perfect peace.

High Dale Park Barn is centrally situated in the Lakes, but just far enough away to relax in perfect peace and tranquillity. The Barn has been tastefully converted to provide two apartments which are let together or separately. (There is an internal staircase joining the two arpartments which has a lockable firedoor at the bottom, thus providing either total self containment or convenient integration).
In the Upper Barn there is a very large kitchen with a large kitchen table accommodating eight people. Facilities include: full size electric cooker with extraction, microwave oven, fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble drier, pay-phone, coffee maker & kettle. All crockery, cutlery provided in excess of tourist board standards..
BARN DESCRIPTION
The Upper Barn lounge has two sofas and numerous chairs, a colour TV and woodburning stove set in a traditional lakeland slate fireplace. There is a patio door leading out on to the terrace where there are two large picnic tables.
The bedrooms in the Upper Barn are as follows: Bedroom 1 with double bed, Bedroom 2 with twin beds and Bedroom 3 with adult sized bunks. All bedooms are equipped with wash basins, mirrors, bedside lights and shaver sockets. All are south-facing, with views down the valley.
The Upper Barn bathroom has a bath and shower, sink, toilet and heated towel rail and fan heater.
Ouside the is ample parking for up to four cars off the lane.
The Lower Barn is more compact. It accommodates two people comfortably - three at most. there is a sofa bed for two and a fold-down chair-bed for a child or third adult. One end of this studio apartment is fitted out as a kitchen, with full size cooker with extraction, extensive kitchen units, microwave oven, toaster, breakfast bar, washing machine, coffee maker & kettle.
The other end of the room accommodates the sitting/sleeping furniture and colour TV.
In the hall there is a good sized wardrobe and pay-phone.
The shower room consists of shower, hand basin with shaver socket, toilet and fan heater.
Outside there is a picnic table and chairs and ample room for 2 - 3 cars to be parked off the lane.
