Company Profile
The site was created because of a growing frustration with the Scottish Tourist Board as was, and which 'evolved' as the German owned visitscotland.com. This is not a rant against Germany as I like the German people very much. I just think we should have a Tourist industry that has Scotland's best interest at heart and not the profit of a private company, no matter where that companies head quarters may be.
Smaller B&Bs and guest houses feel that they are getting an unfair deal from visit scotland as we pay to advertise on their site but potential guests cant get straight through to the accommodation provider, but have to go via a site that charges 10% of total fee for the privilege.
