Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset - 5 cottages at Hurn Farm - quietly set in a country setting, yet only a few minutes walk to the dunes and beach. All cottages are non-smoking.
Elm Cottage (sleeps 4) is a detached cottage overlooking the side lawn area, next to our private house. It has a large lounge with combined dining area, and the separate kitchen has a full size cooker, fridge and microwave. It sleeps 4 in two bedrooms. The first large bedroom has a double, and the second bedroom has 3ft pine bunk beds. There is a separate toilet with washbasin off the hallway and also a separate shower room.
Oak Cottage (sleeps 4/5) is the largest of our five cottages, and as it has a wide stable door leading into the entrance hall, it is ideal for a disabled person with wheelchair. From the hall, double doors lead into a large lounge. The spacious kitchen/diner, with full size cooker, fridge and microwave, overlooks the field and pond. The cottage has the benefit of central heating. It sleeps 4 in two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a double bed and its own washbasin, and the second large bedroom has two single beds and there is also room for a single 'Z' bed There is a separate toilet with washbasin and also a separate bathroom with combined bath and shower.
Ash Cottage (sleeps 2) comprises an "L" shaped lounge/kitchen/diner, with a convertible double bed settee in the lounge area for occasional use, while the kitchen area has a full size cooker, fridge and microwave. The cottage is centrally heated and the large bedroom has a double bed, and there is a separate bathroom with toilet off the hallway. The back stable door opens out to the south facing garden which overlooks the field and pond .
Maple Cottage (sleeps 4) has a combined lounge / dining area / kitchen, which has a full size cooker, fridge and microwave. The first bedroom is off the main living area and comprises a double bed, while the second bedroom, off the hallway, has full size 3ft pine bunk beds. There is a separate bathroom with toilet off the hallway.
Willow Cottage (sleeps 4/5) has a large combined lounge / kitchen / dining area with a full size cooker, fridge and microwave. The back stable door opens out to the south facing garden which overlooks the field and pond. The cottage is centrally heated. The two bedrooms are directly off the main living area, and the large bedroom, comprises a double bed, while the second bedroom has two 3ft single beds. There is a separate bathroom, including shower and toilet off the hallway.
Relax in our Jacuzzi hot tub and soothe away those aches and pains. The use of the hot tub is for adults only. The hot tub is inside a log cabin so you don’t have to worry about bad weather. It will seat up to six adults and has powerful jets for a wonderful massage. There are also two changing cubicles inside the cabin for your convenience to-gether with table and chairs.
Although we are not a working farm, for those who like animals, we do have friendly goats, hens, rabbits, guinea pigs and barn owl. Plus our two lovable donkeys, George & Bertie. You can relax in the tranquil setting by the pond, where you can enjoy feeding the ducks or the large Koi Carp. Relax in our Jacuzzi hot tub and soothe away those aches and pains. The use of the hot tub is for adults onlyThere is a large picnic table for your use by the side of the pond and the large mown grassed area is for ball games and your general enjoyment. A favourite with the children is the tree house, and for the adults we have a full size table tennis table outside, which always provides a great deal of fun for everyone.
"Hurn Farm is situated midway along the 7 miles of golden sands running from Burnham-on-Sea to Brean Down, 8 miles from Weston-super-Mare and 4 miles from the M5. In a quiet country setting, yet only a few minutes walk across the Sand Dunes to the beach. There are two 18 hole golf courses in the close vicinity and heated swimming pools at Brean and Burnham
